Watching the CES show and my house being a big gaming center for both PC and XBox I see the Server being the center of it all. I do like the fact I can do it all from my XBox. You also dont need a big HD for the 360. I store game saves and such on my PC right now the way I'm set up, plus I watch all my media on my 360 through my PC. People dont relise that if you dont have a HD TV with AGP or DVI hookups on the TV the other choice you have is S-video which we know is junk to do things on a TV from your PC, with the 360 you dont need s-video, AGP, or DVI and it will look good with the cables that come with the 360. Now with Vista? it all comes together sweet. You watch, the 360 will take the lead because when people see what it all does on a network and for the price it's hands down. |

Ditto, I have my 360 as my center media player right now. I used to do it through the first Xbox (Modded) and now I do the same with the 360. I stream Xvid and all the other good video formats from my PC to my 360, I don't really have too much of a need for my S-video anymore. I use TVersity to watch the Xvid formats, do you use something different? |

| reply to JerryTongue Myself I use DVI from my PC to my TV and a HD cable from my XBox 360 to my TV, my son has 2 options he trades off with. He has a 21" widescreen LCD monitor with the DVI adapter from his 360 to his monitor, then he has the normal cables that came with his 360 for just his regular 27" TV. He has friends over so if PC games are played he just plays on his TV with normal cables. The nice thing is we have 2 PC's and 2 360's set up on a network that allows us to share everything. He downloads game videos to his PC or I do and he is able to watch them on his 27" TV through his 360 which use to be you had to use s-video to do something like that. So easy now to also be connected in some way with all 4 at the same time. Quality is very nice on a standard TV. I have a 62" DLP TV and his 21" LCD looks so smooth and very clear colors compared to my DLP. Just many option available now with a very low cost to do something great with your systems |
