Nexfan.com has three 40mm fans with ratings from 22DBA to 25DBA. But I think the "small fans must spin too fast to be quiet" holds true.

Chico, CA		 Excellent! Thanks for the link. I believe one of the fans I need to replace is actually a 7mm thick fan. At those prices it is worth buying each of the different models and checking them out myself.
