Step off your soapbox buckarooo, You are reminding me of my old History teacher Mrs. Ratburn with her finger waggling.
I'm not ignoring any TOS I'm not justifying anything, remember for 7 years I have been paying the price for multiple T1s. This type cable connection though is being used all the time for public bandwidth.
I know of Coffee Shop hotspots which are charging by the hour for cable access I know of many hotel's close by who charge their customers for Mediacom cable. They don't know or the cable company doesn't seem to care.
I guess as an ISP we are held to a higher standard. |

I would hope you wish to be held to a higher standard. If you use the bandwidth for resale and the TOS says, "no." then you are ignoring the TOS. Plain and simple.
Typically you can call up and with a little polite conversation any contract is negotiable. Give it a try, they can only say no.
That being said, dedicated access is not the same and as an ISP I am sure you realize that. |
