Re: Embarq enabled Fast Path for me! w00t? :) All I could get out of the Embarq guy was that they had "no way of changing me over". Only after I pushed a little further into the type of equipment did he mention adtran. Not sure he really understood everthing since he seemed to be relaying info from the engineer he was working with on the other end.
As to the quality of the equipment lets just say that it took them over 2 months of working on my connection to get it anywhere close to the 5.0 package. Download speeds for the first 2 months were around 2400 at best. After installing either 2 or 3 (sorry I can't remember the exact number) additional T1 lines and correcting a few other problems my service has been rock solid. Given that I live in a very rural area I am just happy to have DSL service period. Three years of dealing with a satellite connection was enought for me.
