Re: No choice for Netflix Assuming arguendo a movie you want is in the store. That's a very hit-or-miss proposition. |

| reply to Topmounter said by Topmounter:Streaming to the PC doesn't interest me much, I'd like to see them do a deal with Tivo, Apple, etc. Yeah, but convergence is coming, and fast. In fact I'm convinced it would already be in widespread use if it WASN'T for DRM and BS Hollywood lawsuits.
Sending movies to the PC is merely the first step. Eventually, and probably sooner, (some ppl can do it already) streaming movies to the PC will be no different from then streaming movies to your living room.
The ReplayTV was headed this way when Hollywood sued em back into the stone-age... but it's coming. Networked PC/DVR's/Media Centers etc are already here and will become more integrated, common, and easy to use. -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) |
