Great!!

This is great news. Now they just need to allow us to download movies directly to our Tivos.

They have tried talking to TiVo but the talks broke down for some reason.

It's my opinion that TiVo (and yes im a BIG FAN) need to make this work. TiVo's future is more questionalble with more people buying Media Center PCs, iTV out and all the other players that over somet type of video download service.

I have two TiVos myself but don't think im gonna buy another one unless they do something with Netflix. Otherwise my next PC purchase will be a Media Center PC and hopefuly, it can replace my TiVos.

Hate to burst your bubble but Tivo is ridiculously overpriced. $15 a month? Most of the stuff I record (to a DVD no less) is when I'm not home or asleep.

Don't worry, the DVRs from Cable are ridiculously overpriced too. $12.95 a month to rent the damn thing and $4.95 for the service.

When these idiots make everything "View when You want to" I'd be interested not Tivo/DVR it and view it.

I have to agree that Tivo had a great product, but their conservative attitude let them lose the advantage over other DVR systems.

I think thats why TiVo gave me the monthly membership of 6.95/mo. instead of 12.95/mo.

And yea, I'm not buying a new tivo ( I have a S2) for the price they want. Psh.

Don't worry bud you're not bursting any bubbles of mine. $15 bucks a month for TiVo seems pretty sweet to me if you didn't pay for your box upfront. The box itself runs anywhere from $99 bucks to over $600 for the high-end model. But I don't know what your own situation is so I can't know for sure why $15 is too much.

Yeah, I love my TiVo but unless they go back to the table with Netflix and work out a deal, (which does not look very likely now) I won't be getting another one. I have a Series 2 in my living room and a Series 2 DT in my bedroom (and they still have kinks to work out on the DT model).

Cant wait until the cable companies have this ability with first run movies. I dont know if it is me, but I dont see the point of streaming movies to my pc and then having my family huddle around the pc to watch. I do have the capability to connect my pc to my HDTV, but what is the point. Netflix and blockbuster are going to die soon unless they find a way to directly get the movies to your TV, because the cable companies are already working on this, and actually have this capability with older movies. Hope they get it soon because I am tired of seeing f*&king Encino Man HD in the OnDemand list!
