I'm surprised VZ hasn't sold off other areas, namely western NC.

GTE pedestals from the 70's rotting away on the road side, and Verizon told a friend of mine that they didn't expect to ever have DSL out where he lives, so he's stuck with 18-22k.
Verizon, to me, seems to be awesome in wealthy places, and awful in the sticks. Guess they go where the money is.
Oh by the way, Roamer1, are you the same dude with that name from HoFo? If so, I remember your GAIT info there, back when I was still with Cingular.
