justin03 : yea you hit them after you power off the box . well i beleive its page 5 or 4 it will have 2 frequencys on the top of the screen.. when you put on your RAI channel in backround it should be 93mghz on right side of screen or around that and it will say locked or unlocked .. you need this to be locked for you to see a picture. usually if there are to many splitters or just loose connections to splitter(not screwed on tight enough) will cause this to be unlocked where u will get black screen.. if after you try tighening everything down inside and outside and it still doesnt work you will probly have cablevision come and replace that wire or reconfig splitters or maybe replace outside drop or groundblock . most likely though if other boxes are working then its probly just loose fitting or the wire to that box , maybe even that leg of splitter .

obeythelaw : okay. i called up cablevision. they told me to pull the plug out for a minute and then plug it back in. after the 5 minutes boot up process, the channel now works. how often does this happen? does anyone else experience this with any other channels. could the receiver be defective? in all other respects, the receiver seems fine. hd channels are great.
