Re: Need help with gnet bb0060a

Did you buy this new or used?

In Canada or the states?

Did they pre-configure it for you?

If it was new and you bought it at a store that did not pre-configure it for you, you may need to set the VPI/VCI settings 0/35

I know when I bought one of these POS's for my mother-in-law that I had to go through the web interface and set these before it would work...

I bought this used. I'm in Toronto Ontario. I reset the modem to default settings to see if that would help. So no it's not preconfigured, the vpi/vci settings are 0/35.

OK, have you called the ISP to ensure you receive sync? Have you tried attaching Internet -> Modem -> PC (Bypassing Router) then creating a PPPOE connection with the default Windows Dial-up utility to see if it's an issue there? Are we certain you didn't purchase a doorstop?

A few things for you to try out...
