So while a commercial is zipping past as you are fast-forwarding through it, you instead see a static image with the option to click on it to see an ad related that commercial. It doesn't effect how fast you get through the commercial, and it doesn't require you to do anything to ignore it.
What's the big deal?
(By the way, the extended ad is recorded from an infomercial that TiVo buys, and is stored in a reserved area of the hard drive, so one is not "paying" to download the ad, nor is it taking away from disk space otherwise available to record programs.) |
