wah wah wah

There's a BUNCH of cry babies who really have nothing more to do here in this thread than Beeetch about stuff for the sake of beeetching. NOT everyone got a TIVO just to skip commercials, nor does everyone have one because they believed that Tivo wouldn't start showing ad's.

If you can't sit through a small short ad once in a while, then dump Tivo. Tivo won't miss you, nor will those who are fine and happy wiht our service, miss the beeetching that comes form people who really have too much time on their hands. Go play some video game or better yet, spend time with your family away from the TV.

MYTH boxes are great, I'm thinking of building one myself, but I'd still probably keep my Tivo at least for a while. Heck, i might not even like what Myth has to offer. Linux isn't exactly an easy OS to understand for many people.

For those willing to spend over $1000 for a prebuilt myth box, when they already have at least one computer in their home, it's called having too much money for un-important things. Computers are not neccesary to one's home life, nore is a TIVO. if you don't like it/them, then get over yourself and sell your TV.

Commercials have been around longer than TV, heck all you ahve to do is watch a show and you're seeing a commercial for some product, with product placement anyway. Commercials are on pretty much EVERY commercially available DVD these days, and some don't allow you to fast forward or skip them. Big deal a few seconds out of someone's life, here and there.
