 | Sooner or later all Pirate sites will be shut down It's just a matter of time. These folks can run but that doesn't stop them from being extradited for their crimes. The laws ain't going to change to allow Pirates to steal so you might as well get use to the iron bar hotel or change your views on life. |

 | there is rampant piracy of unprecedented levels. People are pirating way more and easier than ever before. And yet movie companies and music labels are raking in record profits. Fuck the feeling sorry and consumers are stealing bullshit. If such so called theft was a diservice or a detraction they would not be making billions and investing billions in new movies and technology. I aint heard Sony or Universal post losses in the past 10 years. Other bussinesses are shutting down yet these same decades all companies are not just chugging along but are full speed ahead.
The Doomsday scenario of Piracy killing the "Media Industry" is complete, utter bullshit. Hell I can make the argument that even newer media is way crappier than of old and yet they are selling more of it. Maybe pircacy does boost sales. But it certainly doesnt hurt it as DVD sales are way more than VHS used to be even though DVDs are way easier to copy than VHS. Same with CD music. |

tito2 join:2007-01-13 Bloomington, IN | reply to mcq3000 Here here, exactly.. The Riaa and Mpaa are far more concerned with trying to keep alive their method of distribution than anything else. If they have their way, you will never own any media at all, rather pay a fee every time you listen to one of THEIR songs or watch one of THEIR films, and paying them each and every time you consume their product. They are adverse to the general public and I think it is only sensible for the general public to be adverse to them. Mass piracy is the result of the pricing model being so totally out of whack with the actual distribution costs. |
