Getting more forceful won't make a difference...

I think it's funny how advertisers seem to think that the more "in your face" an ad is then the more likely you're going to pay attention to it. If anything it just makes me switch to a different channel not currently showing an ad or get up and doing something until it's over. Until advertisers can force some kind of restraints to pop out of my chair and hold me down, there's no way in hell I'm going to ever become more inclined to watching ads.

In relative terms life is shorter than the blink of an eye. Remember that each and every day because in the end it's not about what you've done but how you've lived.

No, you won't see restraints popping out of your chair. There will be a sensor in the DVR that will know if you have left the room and pause the commercial until you return.

The day I'm waiting for is when the DVR will start recording commercials when the TV is off, and then force you to watch them before you can either watch live TV or playback a recorded show while you pay a company for that privilege.
