USRobotics Max G: Constantly have to reset router?

hi there ...

myself and a roommate share a DSL connection via a USR Wireless Max G router.

he connects via wireless and i connect via a hardwired network cable.

every two days or so, my connectivity suddenly is unavailable and i have to either 1>reset the wireless max g router, or less frequently, 2>reset *both* the wireless max g router *and* the speedstream DSL modem.

this is somewhat of a maddening process. i've used many different types of routers on DSL connections but have never been required to do this.

the problem seems random for the most part and not like something that's associated with lease time settings, but having not checked the setup of the USR router, i can't be sure.

has anyone else out there had a similar problem? any suggestions?

thanks in advance for any assistance.

What is the model? Does it have the latest firmware?

MODEL: USR5461

and yes, it has the latest firmware. our DSL provider is hal-pc.

lately it's been worse and worse. sometimes we have to reset the router and modem 3 or 4 times a day. totally maddening.
