Re: Kind of OT: Cingular

Maybe I just don't talk enough, but I like rollover and I have been on the 450min plan for just over a year and have nearly 2000min of rollover. When I signed up I could have gone with the 29.99/mo plan which does not include rollover. It seems to me Cingular wanted everyone to sign up with the $39.99 (450min) plan, AT LEAST. Rollover is nice because your calling habits can change, like mine have. I use nearly all my minutes now, plus tons of my free nights/weekends and mobile-to-mobile minutes. Excuse the slogan quote, but they are my minutes, I should get to keep them.

exactly, and for some that use the cell phone as their main telephone number, some months yo dont use it as much, but then rond holidays/big events you can bur through alot of those rollover minutes. i allways use my cell when i know i have to call tech support and be on hold for a long time.

Some of you need to cruise over to HowardForums. There was a debate some time ago about usage, and one customer who actually got a letter from T-mo talking about "excessive" usage. Turns out he had over 19,000 Night and Weekend minutes he'd used. His reason? 'Well, there are some times when I really need to use the phone a lot more than I usually would, like during holidays, so I just wait until the weekends/after hours and make my calls then'.

Trust me. I understand the thought process, Cingular customers. Sometimes you need more than your plan allows. But that's why there are Night and Weekend free times. You can make your calls at that time without paying more for your plan than you normally would need to. The problem is most people are impatient and want things now-now-now instead of just waiting until their offpeak to make the majority of their calls. Business customers probably don't have that luxury, but they should really be on a business class plan in that case.

seeing how im on the 39.99 plan (actualy 32.82 w/my discount at school) for 450 minutes w/rollover, 5000 night/weekend, i think its a good deal.
