Hi over the past few weeks I have been having slow download speeds. I use to get around 300-500kbps but recently I cant even get a steady 100. It starts at 100 then quickly drops on any download from any site. Webpages load fine and ping in games are the same but the download speeds of files is horrible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

(299.4 / 44.4 KB/sec)
Compared to the average of 3326 tests from comcast.net:
* download is 67% worse, upload is 14% worse

Just a quick question. Is that test done with the flash or java test? Because I've noticed the flash one returns lower results. |

Could you provide some more info, please? You are asking for a solution to a very common problem that can have many different answers, depending on the factors. Why not answer the questions in the forum FAQ under "how to get help"?

I have a linksys BEFSR41v4 4 port cable/dsl router
firmware of router: 1.04.02

Download and note speed at 40%, cancel after.
Run it 3 times and post results.
