Today I drive on the interstate and head to Sears only to buy myself a mini fridge for my room to have some milk and a couple of drinks nice and cold. On my way to Sears I noticed that some lanes are not well painted and it's impossible to see on which lane you are in.
I mistakenly today cut someone off because I was unable to see the lane I was only to hit the gas so that the guy won't be squashed between me and the other lane. I feel it was my mistake as my 2nd day driving experience is still in a very low level but at the same time I think the roads of South Florida should be repainted because it's impossible to see during night driving and some of them completely disappear. only to reappear later down the road.
On the highway the paint is of course clear as day and I always stay on my lane and either accelerate to pass the person on the other lane or slow down and get behind him when I can.
So I guess my rant is all about why the hell are the roads not painted, it usually takes a few year's for that thick coat of paint to go away but they are completely gone and you see these little scraps of paint on the ground and you must guess if someone spilled plaster or if that's an actual lane line.
Maybe if roads where painted more a driver could make a better decision but that's just a newbie's opinion and take it as you wish but I am pissed I had to cut someone off when I am not that kind of individual. -- The only limits we have are the one's we set ourselves. |

 | Well you will learn about painted lines. Most likely all states has the same problem about painted lines. I live here in Washington the lines are painted the same way. |

I know, I know...bad joke.
Road lines are iffy no matter where you are. I'm sure we all know of a road in our area where the lines need to be painted. Eventually, they get to them. -- ~~Well, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, just like me...~~

| reply to Michieru2 You'll get over it. In time you'll realize that, lines or not, everyone else on the road is an idiot and sometimes cutting them off is the only answer. I used to be the nice guy driver, still am in some respects. I do give ample warning via turn signal before cutting in, though. You can't just let other drivers walk all over you, or you'll never get where you're going. You have to be assertive. -- Think outside the fox...Seamonkey |
