They really noticed?? Surprising, considering all the plants they grow and consume there.
Hey! Thanks for the stereotype, jerk! Laughing it up in your quiet little retirement community?

Yes, we really did notice. Businesses that depend on internet and credit card transactions were basically shut down. The operator bank where I work had to sit on their thumbs because we couldn't make any phone sales. No internet orders could be processed, either. We lost a lot of business yesterday because of it, including a LOT of other businesses in the entire county.

So yeah, it did kinda get noticed.

"operator bank"? What are you some sort of telemarketer? If so, it could not have happened to a more deserving group!

IMO, any business that really wants to be prepared should have a satellite backup. At least the internet orders would have been processed.

Nope, we sell electronics to a national customer base and are advertised nightly on a coast to coast radio show. No "telemarketing" involved.

Obviously, since everyone in Humboldt County is a reefer-head, everyone in Florida is a doddering, drooling, wrinkly old Social Security case.

Just using your logic, chief.

Sat backup is to slow... A large corp. worried about downtime should have a co-located server in a large Data Center!
