1x CD = 150KBps 1x DVD = 1,353KBps
with that in mind, a 16x DVD drive is 21,648KBps and 18x is 24,354KBps... not a huge difference really, not something i'd personally pay more for. -- illegal wars, prisoners with no trials, and state controlled media. welcome to the land of the free!
