$29/mo for 5000/5000 wireless

is pretty damn good~

For anyone living downtown, or working long hours there, this'll be a pretty slick service

Is that $29us or $29cn?

If it's CN, even better...

since it's a Canadian service, the price per month would be in CDN funds.

There seems to be no caps (at least right now). Hopefully it will expand through the city (it's only available in the downtown core).

Once the commercial launch comes around, I seriously doubt you're going to get 5mb symmetrical for $29. Mesh networks have the same problem as cable, not enough backbone insertion. When you have 5 AP's sharing a single backhaul connection (which may also be part of another mesh network) and then maybe 20+ clients per AP, it doesn't take long before your backbone is all used up and it's crawling like dial up.

If they can truly manage to maintain a CIR of 5mbps to every client, I am going to convince my WISP to purchase that gear.
