Re: Been waiting for this

Finally! I happen to live in the land of FiOS, Murrieta, CA, but I happen to own a condo, and as such I've been overlooked for the last 3 years...

Even if it was available to you and you have a HOA then depending on how gestapo your HOA is, you STILL couldn't get it.

maybe not. I know the FCC overrules HOAs on the placement of sat dishes....I would think the same protections of communications would exist for this as well. Hell this would be even less visible as opposed to a sat dish. But I have heard horror stories about CA HOAs....apparently the most gestapo in the country.

Ding ding ding. That is the problem where I live. Our HOA doesn't care for FiOS. Mind you I am in a condo not an apartment.

I don't think it would be that much of an issue. We only have 4 units to a building, and there is a panel there on the outside unit where the telco and cableco both come into their respective NI's, cat5 for the telco and coax for the cableco. If they can fit the new ONT's equipment in there using existing cabling it would work perfectly without any hassle, and I would sign-up immediately...
