For teh 5meg package starfish that looks descent. As for the other guy, you got a screwy test, give it another try.

Does anybody else hold a dim view of the speedtest at speedtest.net ? I never got valid results there. Definitely try speakeasy.net/speedtest before deciding you have speed problems.

I dunno what to think sometimes. What with the majorly overloaded Chicago area network (see that other thread about net netrality and ATT's grand conspiracy to screw over the ISP's *chuckle*) and the generally crappy way my laptop runs anything- its old and slow and I use it just for e-mail and surfing. Here's what I get on my connection from Comcast:



and from the other speed test, which happens to run on the same connection from the same company, by the way:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 4692 kbps (586.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 267 kbps (33.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Methinks my son is test driving music again.

speed was dropping but Leased new ip address and old
one recycled and now back up;



Keep up the good work charter, doing a lot better than in Nov. & Dec. when I was down for 3 days at a time in a week those months.
