I can handle the cold weather outside, but why, when we are having subzero wind chills outside, is there cold air coming out of the vents in my office? Earth to building management... when it is really freaking cold out, you turn on the HEAT, not the A/C!

Same here. I have vents over my workspace that are constantly bathing me in cool breezes. Is your building managed by Cushman & Wakefield, by any chance?

Two summers ago we had no, or nearly no, air conditioning. And the windows don't open and we're on the sunny side of the building... it got very hot in here. There was one 95+ degree day I had to be sent home because I was starting to show signs of heat exhaustion. So we bitched for months and finally said we were withholding our rent until they fixed it, which they immediately did after months of saying "no, sorry, that's just the way the building is designed, there's nothing we can do."
Now they've apparently decided to make us suffer. "They like air conditioning? We'll show them air conditioning!!"
