I have not followed if there has been any FCC 5.4Ghz DFS/TPC rule updates since Feb 2006 when this came out:

Cisco, Airaya, D-Link and a few other Atheros-5Ghz radios support ETSI style DFS/TPC but they do not comply with this FCC requirement: "Prior to initiating and during a transmission, a U-NII device’s DFS feature would monitor the available spectrum in which the device could operate for the presence of a radar signal."
I think monitoring spectrum during transmission is almost impossible without a dedicated second receiver. |
