<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1219823"><b>lutful</b></A> : Industry Canada has certified a few 5.4Ghz radios already based on a quick Google search: &raquo;<A HREF="http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Industry+Canada+certification+for+5.4Ghz&meta=" >www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Ind&middot;&middot;&middot;hz&meta=</A><br><br>I have not followed if there has been any FCC 5.4Ghz DFS/TPC rule updates since Feb 2006 when this came out:<br>&raquo;<A HREF="http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-06-12A1.pdf" >hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/a&middot;&middot;&middot;12A1.pdf</A><br><br>Cisco, Airaya, D-Link and a few other Atheros-5Ghz radios support ETSI style DFS/TPC but they do not comply with this FCC requirement: "Prior to initiating and <B>during a transmission</B>, a U-NII device&#146;s DFS feature would monitor the available spectrum in which the device could operate for the presence of a radar signal." <br><br>I think monitoring spectrum during transmission is almost impossible without a dedicated second receiver.]]></description>
