my network places

i'm starting a neighborhood wisp. the concern i have is people seeing other peoples files in my network places. i have a cisco 871w router. is there a way to stop this in the router. The clients will get a 10.10.10.x address as that is what the router is handing out.

I would look for a setting that has to do with interclient blocking on the wireless configuration portion of the router since I assume that's what you're using as an AP.

Otherwise you need to enable this on your APs or if your AP can block ports block 137-139 and most of it will stop.

Also block port 445. Blocking 135-139 only stops the shares from showing up under my network places, but they can still do an ip scan for open port 445s and access file shares through that.
