The more I read through this thread, the more I realize that my ideas about who you folks are were so way off. It's nice to get to know you folks, too bad we can't get a BBRDigital Imiging forum convention together. I think it would be awesome to see all of you folks in one place and at the same time. -- »shootingforacause.com/ »www.pbase.com/jrslater |

Thanks pog .
My name is Neil. I was born in London, England in 1968. I moved out of London just before I was four but I started my working life back in London working just off of Trafalgar Square. In 1987 my company relocated to Basingstoke which is where I lived. In 1989 I met my American wife-to-be when she was assigned as a contractor to help my company install software (it was common to bring over people from the US). In 1990 we married in England. In 1996 we sold-up, quit our jobs and moved to Dallas/Fort Worth.
I became a US citizen in 2000.
I have two lovely boys aged 8 and 5. One is gifted and talented and the other is exceptionally creative and dramatic. I am extremely proud of them both.
In 2005 my wife and I separated and our divorce was final in early January this year. Fortunately, and for the sake of the kids, our divorce was conducted peacefully and we share custody of the boys. Nothing is more important to me that giving them the most stable environment I can manage.
My passions in life after raising the boys are music, traveling, photography and food. Ive many other interests such as movies, gardening and running but the aforementioned get the most time. I play guitar and Ive played in several bands over the years including a college band that was entered into the British Battle of the Bands and several bands here in Dallas/ Fort Worth.
I work for an extremely large consulting firm as a project director. I manage installations of enterprise systems at major US life insurance companies now you can see why I need creative outlets like photography, but it pays the bills, lol.
And with no further ado, I'll pass the torch to kidpics . -- My Gallery Formerly Nezmo |

Let's see... I am fortunate enough to be an at-home-mom. I'm in my 30's. I grew up in a very small town of about 6,000 people in the geographical center of Texas. Wonder if any of you can figure it out!? After high school, I went to college out in West Texas. I majored in psychology specializing in children, double minored in art and communications. I graduated from Angelo State University in '92, married my husband no__1__here , and we moved to Harrogate, England. We lived there for 3 wonderful years and spent our time traveling throughout Britian and Europe! In '95, we moved back to Texas and since then have had four beautiful children together. The oldest is a boy, almost 11, and an academic. The second is a boy, almost 9, and an athlete. Next is our daughter who is definitely a "girly-girl" and just turned 5. Last but definitely not least is our 2 1/2 yr. old baby boy - he's the comedian! They are all great and very well behaved. I've been truly blessed and couldn't be more proud.
My interests....hmmm, you mean when I'm not doing dishes, laundry, and being a kid-taxi? Really anything that's creative - I love to paint (mainly murals on my kid's bedroom walls), cook, bake, decorate cakes, and of course the one thing I'm not allowed to mention!!! Once my youngest is in school, I'm hoping to make my unmentionable hobby and passion into a business.
 Canon EOS 20D 85mm 1/80th F9 ISO200
Well, this photo is almost a year old - I'll try to get back in front of the camera soon!
Ok, even though I feel that no__1__here is the smartest and most interesting guy I know - he's has said that I shouldn't tag him. So, I'll go with another great guy with a great story to tell and that would be noe ! |

He doesn't run the streets, runs at Arthur Brown. His wife runs home from there though sometimes. GRAW is the Grapevine runners and walkers club at Lake Grapevine. Nice group, I joined them on a Saturday morning when I was there. Ah well, I have thought it would be neat if you knew each other. |

| reply to Wayne GphFX I've been watching this forum for a while and participating with occasional comments and posts in the gallery. I've loved looking at the pictures everyone posts, and I've learned tons just from seeing them and the comments that people make.
This, however, definitely has to be the greatest topic I've seen here. Everyone's stories are fascinating and surprising, and I've been checking every day hoping to see one or two more.
Thanks for the great topic. |

Born in Austin Texas, 1933. Graduated from Burnet High School. Spent 12 years at THE University of Texas, BS, PhD in chemistry, and 4 years as post doc and faculty member. While there we (grad students, civil rights advocates) integrated every beer joint around campus, including Scholtz's Beer Garten
Started a family with Martha, my wife for 48 years now, and had to go get a real job. Worked in classified gov job for three years and with Union Carbide in New Jersey and then Charleston for 23 years. Retired early in 1988 as a Research Associate after I told a senior vice-president to do something physically impossible.
We have two sons and a daughter, all educators and four grand kids. Since retirement I have had hobbies/businesses in woodworking, wood-turning, computer building and... the unmentionable.
My other hobby is music. I have a mandolin, Dobro, 75 78rpm records, numerous 45rpms, several hundreds of albums and many hundreds of CDs. My oldest son, who is a bioengineering professor at Arkansas has even more.
Since he is almost as old as I, and we both enjoy "Artify-ing" I Tag Chuck22 for the next Spotlight. LOL and above all PEACE>>.. -- "Freedom of speech is of no use to a man who has nothing to say ..." Franklin D. Roosevelt |

| reply to Wayne GphFX Thanks noe Don't have a recent photo, so here's a rendering from the latest photo only a few years ago. I'm a widower and cancer survivor with two daughters, two grandchildren, and two great-grand children. (Sometimes things just work out in pairs. So far anyway...) Retired after being in the graphic arts industry since 1953, working at various jobs as typographer, photo engraver, commercial artist, lithographer, and production exec. This may explain my interest in the area not allowed to mention here. I do so enjoy the time I spend here! I would like to tag bassman442 |

Thanks Chuck22,
Well my name is Frank and I just turned 48 in January and I was born in Jersey City, NJ and have lived in NJ my entire life. I'm on my second and final marriage to my lovely wife Dawn. We have 2 children, my daughter is 10 and my son is 7. They are the greatest joy in my life. I'm employed as a Service Technician/installer for a large office furniture company which means I get to play with power tools all day, I also do wood touch up for them which is becoming a lost art. I went to college for a couple of years but as you can see by my nickname here I play the bass and I left school to try hit the big time. I had a lot of fun and played some memorable clubs in the tris-tate area including CBGB's and Max's Kansas City. I'm still playing and writing songs and the picture I've included is me with my band Take The Fifth, I'm the handsome guy on the left. This was a great idea Wayne and I tag Mantis44 next. -- »www.takethefifthrock.com |

I think this has been mentioned before but I'm finding I really held people very differently in my mind's eye. overhill , for eg, is startlingly young... you, OTOH, come across as someone at least half your age! jaykaykay , whom I've had the pleasure of meeting, is closer to 1/3 her age. LOL!
