Sonata II PSU fan not working?

I just set this case up yesterday and I've had the computer on for over 12 hours but the PSU fan is not running. A note on the back of the case says it won't go on until it is necessary but how do I know it will when its needed. Intel Active Monitor says the temperature in the case is fine but I'm still worried.

Thanks

why are you worried if all the measurables are fine?

Because I normally leave the computer on at all times and I don't want it to have a problem when I'm not at the computer

It's fine. There are two 80mm fans on the SmartPower PSU. The fan on the outside only spins when the PSU temp reaches a certain level. The inside fan always runs. On mine, I've never seen the outer fan run.

Strange, while I do not have one of the second generation Sonata cases I do have two of the first generation cases. Is this PSU fan feature that evolved from the second generation? Also, I would think the PSU is independent of the case--especially considering Antec makes PSUs galore.

And isn't the function of the PSU fan to cool the PSU only? How much of the PSU capabilities are you utilizing?
