| FIOS TV for the rest of MOCO (When???) Good day! Just wanted to let y'all know, that I've been calling the FIOS TV customer rep almost everyday to see if Damascus is ready for the FIOS TV rollout....unfortunately all I hear is "soon" or "any day now". I'm pretty dissapointed since I wrote countless of letters to Doug Duncan, the MOCO council, congressman and senators advocating VZ FIOS TV for MOCO. Oh well, I'm happy the rest of my "down county" neighbors are now starting to enjoy FIOS TV. I've had FIOS Internet and I can't wait for FIOS TV. One nice thing w/ FIOS TV rolling out in MOCO is Comcast is now feeling the competition on its heels. I had an issue w/ my Comcast Cable over the weekend and I just happened to ask if they had any specials for the premium channels. Lo and behold she said yes, HBO (yes, all the HBO channels including HD HBO)is FREE for 12 months (through Jan 2008) yes, FREE! No strings attached, you don't have to stay and be a Comcast customer for 12 months. So at least while I wait for FIOS TV, I can enjoy something for free. Competition....ain't it great??? | |

| Re: FIOS TV for the rest of MOCO (When???) Not all of your downcounty friends. Us folks hooked up to the wire center at Bradley and Seven Locks which serves North Bethesda and Potomac do not have service yet. There were some charges that Verizon was redlining and cherry picking. I don't think that's the case since parts of Silver Spring got service before us. | |

| Re: FIOS TV for the rest of MOCO (When???) I think you may be better off checking the site than calling. Using your address the site will accurately tell you if the service is ready to order. Humans, they probably get the info after the machines..Sad -- »www.fioscentral.com | |

1 edit | Re: FIOS TV for the rest of MOCO (When???) I think the opposite is true. The site says my address qualifies but my number does not. After extensive research it appears that I do not qualify.
P.S. I do have FIOS internet ready. Just waiting for Verizon to complete work at my wire center. | |
