The "official" word is that its an issue that was caused by the earthquake in Thailand. Some major fiber got damaged and were repaired. Anyone that is being routed through these fibers are intermittently having issues connection to servers over seas. Some ISP's are affected and others are not. Just depends how your being routed. Your not the only one having these issues. Hope this helps.
