With the latest available firmware, it still sometimes refuses to give out an IP to a connecting client computer.
Only a power cycle will restore functionality.
If any of the 3Com reps are reading this - please fix the firmware. |

| It appears to be. I installed it over the old one and it seemed to work but haven't monitored it any further as I've taken all our 3CRWER100-75 offline due to previous issues.
I may reinstate one just for trial but I currently don't have the time or inclination to do so. |

| Well, I updated it.. Seems to work fine, even has the option I was asking for over another topic (mtu for dynamic addressing), however, it doesn't work, it always resets to 576. There should be a checkbox to _force_ it.
I've never experienced your problem. It gives ips just fine to 3 different machines (1 wireless). The 'dhcp fixing' also works fine, locking ips to mac addresses. |

join:2001-08-14 Singapore | Try it with 28 wireless machines and 3 wired machines in a corporate environment running 24/7 and see what happens. Maybe the new firmware got it fixed but I didn't want to be 3Com's guinea pig any longer so I removed them all. |
