Gungerdin : I was searching for a driver awhile back that did not need to install the USR software package, so I could just use a basic driver and windows wireless config. I came across one form this page and it worked in XP can't say if it will work for Vista. It is the only driver I have been able to find of this type, Might be worth a try. I have a USR5410 card and it is the same driver they give for your card as well.
--
The NYS Adventurous Traveling Beaver wants to visit YOU!
The Beavers Homepage

I've been waiting two weeks on my question about Vista drivers for the Max G USB adapter.

Two days ago they asked me to fill out a survey about my "experience" with USR Support. You can imagine my ratings.
--
Bob H

BigdogBTS : So I've been searching for Vista drivers for my 5416 since beta, and I assumed that USR would be releasing them since the card has a 2 year warranty. I just got this official reply from someone at USR:

Dear Brad,

I understand you're looking for Vista 32-bit drivers for your USR5416. Unfortunately, since this product is at the end of its life, we won't be releasing any updated drivers for this product.

This product is not supported on Windows Vista.

Thank you for contacting U.S. Robotics.

Your customer number is 300887197
Please refer to case # 301468325 if you have any further questions.

If you need further assistance, you can also reach us online at www.usr.com/support Please include all previous replies when/if responding to this message.

Sincerely,

Craig R
U.S. Robotics
Technical Support

Anyone have any ideas here? I think it's crap that I should be expected to go out and replace a perfectly good router and PCI card jus because USR is lazy.
