Right now, cable can do a nice high upload.. but do we see more than 768 kbps? No. Do we see 768 kbps upstreams with cale ISPs without stupid "we can send out letters threatening discontinued service if you keep using it" - no.
Verizon needs to expand FIOS to the rest of the world. Imagine a world with no transfer caps, low pings, cheap 31/9.5, no enforcement of their TOS, that uses DMCA notices as toilet paper. That's a beautiful world.  -- The Problem With Music.

| If you think that Verizon will allow unlimited bandwidth on their FIOS service, you're dreaming. Might not be much of an issue now that there are relatively few users, but that will most likely change- any oversubscribed network can be impacted by high-utilization users. |
