I will probably get it if it comes to my area, especially if Comcast raises the rates. All the areas surrounding me have VRADs but my neighborhood still doesnt yet. It may be because At&t was late deploying DSL (about 2 years ago) here and so everyone already has cable. |

It just isn't worth the time it would take to get it installed. I work 60 hours a week while going to school - I'm not going to waste my time dealing with installers, moving stuff around the house, etc. just to get slightly faster upload speed.
I don't see myself moving to Lightspeed unless they come out with a much better broadband offer.

Its still not here near Memorial and Wilcrest. Orange and White Fiber markers were placed a few months ago and are near the other phone boxes, but still no VRAD. |

Lightspeed is available in my part of Houston, but I will not be ordering it. For those on the west side - between the Beltway and Highway 6, south of I-10, and north of Westheimer - give it a try... my prequal results say that I'm good to go if I want the service.

In the »AT&T U-verse forum we are starting to see service pop up in more Houston areas. Still not out where I live but then again it does not appear like it is ready for my needs quite yet. Probably by the time it has bigger internet pipe and handles HD better it will be out here. I will remain patient until it is a must have. |
