[W2K] Linux drive showing up as unformatted drive

My linux partition decided to show up in Windows as Drive E and windows wants to format it. Is there any way to remove it from view so it's not accidently destroyed?

EDIT: This might be better, it hides it from view: »www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/1281/

What file system does that partition have? A partition that is of a type that Windows doesn't support shouldn't be assigned a driver letter. So you or something else changed the partition type and is probably fubar'd. I have a Reiserfs and swap partitions that are formatted and on my laptop I have an ext3 and swap partitions that I created but haven't formatted (haven't gotten to installing Linux) and both computers aren't showing drive letters for those partitions.

I think it's something like LVM2 or something else that's three letters and a number starting with L.
