Re: LOL I have no patience with the idea that the burden falls on the person intruded upon to protect themselves, rather than on the intruder not to intrude. This is like telling a person who has a home invader that they deserve what they got because they didn't master home security techniques. Of course we would hope that people practice basic defensive procedures like locking their doors, but this still doesn't give anyone the right to invade someone's home.
It is not up to computer users to learn all the ways necessary to protect themselves from being intruded upon by sleazy people. Sleazy people are constantly developing news tricks to force their sleaze upon others. It is society's obligation to create and enforce rules that punish those sleazy people for their intrusion. |
