Ok, this is weird. This site knows too much maybe?

Go to the "18+ trailer" (if you're 18+, actually).

It seems you have to enter your ACTUAL name and birthdate!

If I misspell my name, it won't let me in.

If I change my birthdate, it won't let me in.
(EDIT: Seems to work for some people being a day off on their birthday, but not a year (say, adding a year to your age, going from 1976 to 1975) Looks like it checks most people on name and year of birth).

I've checked with friends - they have to put in their ACTUAL name and birthdate to get in.

This isn't just doing an "on your honor" age check.. It's actually checking names to birthdates..?

Note the fine print on the popup.. "You must have a US driver's license.."

Did Universal buy a driver's license database for everyone in the US for use on their movie site??

Not sure what the privacy implications are, but I find that a little strange.

This is weird... I tried using my Name age zip and it wouldn't let me in. I used my Real name and pop I was in...

One thing I think is weird is Texas has some unique laws on DL Databases. But then I just did a google search for Texas DL database and I had a whole lot of them popup

Haven't posted in this forum before, but I stumbled onto this thread...anyhow, no problem logging in to the >18 trailer using bogus information. I'm using Safari browser in Mac OS X.

I fed it bogus information too, it didn't take it once, it took it the other time. I think its just looking for common names like "John Smith" but when you come up with a unique combo it doesn't care. Running IE7 on Vista, if it matters.
