What is the model number of the VDSL Modem? What other items did VZ tech have to install in the home? Did they use any microfilters, like the ones used for DSL modems? |

DMT 3/4/5-band, ATM-based VDSL Modem/Gateway
came in the box with Micro filters..
while one could install the modem and router without a tech, the hook-up to the MDU / optical terminal network and connecting FiOS phone would have to be done by the Verizon installer.
Did not use the microfilters in the setup though since I already had indoor Westell Wall-Mount POTS / DSL Splitter from a previous install |

Greer, SC | Thanks, did the tech mention when FiOS TV would be available? Is there a coax connection on the VDSl modem for video output? |

| The coax connection is on the Actiontec Router not the VDSL modem. FiOS TV will be available in the City of Philadelphia when Verizon is awarded a cable franchise via City Council vote. That may take awhile to pass in council.
what the Tech did tell me is that all the new condos being constructed have fiber to the condo units, and in the older buildings the MDU is being used |
