FiOS TV will be available in the City of  Philadelphia when Verizon is awarded a cable franchise  via City Council vote.  That may take awhile to pass in council.   <br><br>what the Tech did tell me  is that all the new condos being constructed have fiber to the condo units, and in the older buildings the MDU is being used]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : ZyXel VDSL model was installed by Verizon tech.<br>model <br><br>Prestige 861 Series<br>DMT 3/4/5-band, ATM-based VDSL Modem/Gateway<br><br>came in the box with Micro filters.. <br><br>while one could install the modem and router without a tech, the hook-up to the MDU / optical terminal network and connecting  FiOS phone  would have to be done by the Verizon installer.<br>Did not use the microfilters in the setup though since I already had indoor Westell Wall-Mount POTS / DSL Splitter  from a previous install]]></description>
