In today's litigious society, it's nice to see that someone that sued a company sued for no more than the damages they were entitled to.

With the time and effort he put into this (especially with their constant denials in the face of rock-solid documentation), I'd say he was entitled to a lot more.

Get enough people winning $10,000 or more judgements and all the bad press that comes along with that, and I'm sure Verizon would tighten up their billing policies and procedures. That reduces the chances that this happens to the rest of us.
