You know, I actually kind of like Wimax. Its current abilities and costs of deployment are rather prohibitive, but imagine if speeds were increased and costs were lowered, what someone like Google could do with this? Under cutting all of our ISP's? Drastically reducing our cell phone bills with VoIP handsets (I dream of a Wimax handset with Google, designed by Apple)? I believe this to be the future, or at least the one I hope to see. |
