1 edit | [help] Twinge Attack (it was capital..) Detect - what is it and
Tonight when I got home from work, I found something new in my router log "TWINGE ATTACK Detect". I've never seen this before, so I don't know what it is. I can state that no one was home when this was logged, and none of our computers was on, either. Have any of you run into this, and can you explain what it is? What I've read from searching the term does not seem to apply. And yes, I do have block WAN ping enabled |

Are you running any torrent programs? Seems that's the most usual "false positive" for the alert. |

Quite a bit of information online about that attack type, it's basically a ICMP flooder dealio.

| reply to momcat1 Caffeinator, thanks for your effort but I did state above that I do have block WAN ping enabled. It's been enabled since my prior router, so we're going back 3+ years that our IP has been unpingable. That would leave it as a random attack, since my IP has not been discoverable anywhere in over 3 years. |
