Do a tracert and see if you are using the same routers at your old place as you are at the new place. I wish I had done that.
And yea... I was getting 5200, 5300 and now, the other night I couldn't get 2000 and they say "Oh... it's ok. That is with in spec."
I am going to give it one more chance this week, then I guess I will give up my cable Internet connection that I have had for 9 years if they don't show some interest in my speed.

They could be on different nodes as well.
Or they could have an open WiFi link that someone is using because they're suddenly in range due to the move.
In other words, lots of things can change from one location to the next. Without more info on the problem it's impossible to diagnose.

| After a 5 hour conversation with the head of RR here, they finally told me that they are " oveloaded at the nodes in most of ohio ( due to aqusistions), and hoped to update everything within the next 6 months." They moved me to the "upper tier", and while i can get the 4 meg dwn/ 400 up, my latency across the boards are 400-500 range. They told me if I use the internet during " off peak hours" ( which they define peak at 12;00 am to 11:59 pm) I should be able to lower them somewhat. This is of course after the massive terrorist plot to cut every fiber line of rr in ohio ( right).. I was so sick of these people. They said that even with the 8 meg download, if i was getting 1.5 that was acceptable to them. I told them I would not be paying my bill, and found out i had another option of WOW internet in my neighborhood, they came and installed it same day, I have 6 meg down/1. up and my pings are running about 25 ms. There are only 15 people on my node. AWESOME. they answer the phone, they speak english, they had great customer service, and I got the Ultra internet, digital tv with 13 movie channels, divo or whatever it is, for less than 89.00 a month for the year.No contract, or modem rental or digital rental. It is smokin and i can happily return to my online racing!!!! RR sucks here, period, and it was a pleasure to tell them goodbye. They did tell me i could have 3 months free, and I am like, i dont care about free, i just want my internet to work.
WOW was JD Powers provider of the year last year, and they delivered everything they said they would. if you can get it in ohio, get it!!!!! referr me and we both get 25 bucks LOL

In the tracert, it was fine to the columbus ' station, but once it left to RR cincy and washington dead. you could see it jump thru the roof.
It was a no win situation, so i kissed them goodbye. thank god i had another option
