Vista: Windows Vista firewall (set to block all except manually allowed rules)

Behind a Linksys WRT300N Firmware v0.93.3

On Windows Vista Ultimate I use the internal Vista firewall both incoming and outgoing. It works like a champ if you create the outbound rules correctly. You first must block all outbound traffic. It comes with many pre-defined rules, you can just tweak them or roll your own.

Once you get it all set up and working, it takes very little administrative activity to keep it working .
