Re: Rate limiting.

You don't need to shape at every access point with some products unless you want to go out to every location and manage everything one at a time. Why waste time?

I've tried all that MicroTik, LiveCD, smaller company appliances, etc. etc.... But they failed on support. It may be a cheap solution but required a whole lot of attention....

I personally purchased a Sysmaster to centralize the authentication and manage bandwidth. You may want to try Sysmaster out yourself out in California. Good support and rave reviews. The support is the best feature that you should consider since every wifi appliance requires good backing. I've been left hanging by smaller wanabe WISP companies that claim to be the all in one solution, but I assure you I am a supper happy Sysmaster client. I will be looking into their Cell Nodes next to enable roaming access to replace my current radios and manage all my access points through the Sysmaster system.

If you would like my contact at Sysmaster let me know I'm sure he can work up a good deal for you.
