T3 time-out (continued)

Since I'm not able to ad any replies to my old posting, here is an update about what has happen in the mean time. Yes, the error messages are still there:

I contacted tech support from atlanticbb and then talked to one lady, then was transfered to another lady. I asked her about the error messages and she said that she didn't know what it means. She told me to contact the modem manufakturer and ask there. I asked her to check my connection from her side which she did. She told me that everything from her side is looking normal and is with in normal range. We then did setup an appointment for an technician to come to my house. The technician came 4 days later, checked and tested my cable several times, changed some connectors on the outside box. he told me that he was not able to find anything unusual and that all measures are in normal range.
Well, now I'm back to square one......

How many splitters do you have between your modem and drop outside. sorry i haven't read the other yet. The t-3 timeouts are a return path issue somewhere along the line.

Well, there is one splitter inside the outside box. Then one cable goes from the outside box to the first floor, it is exclusively for my cable modem. A second cable goes from the outside box to the basement and then to all my TV's. The Technician changed all the connectors within the outside box.

Did they install the tv runs or did you. if you used junky connectors they can leak and cause issues. so that means your modem should be on the 3.5 db side of the splitter. What are the signal levels of your modem? sorry took so long to reply

Like I said before, the technician was out here and checked everything. Like I said before, he also changed connectors on the inside and outside. Like I said before, the splitter is inside of the outside box and no, I don't have access to it.

Well looking at the signals your downstream is maxing out at 15.
-15 dBmV to +15 dBmV maximum downstream

+8 dBmV to +58 dBmV maximum upstream

Have you or do you have another modem to try?

I had the exact same problems with my Motorola 4100. Now I'm using the Motorola 5120. So, I doubt that it is the Modem. I also changed Routers, I tried 3 different ones. I know that the downstream is maxing out, which might be the problem. I just don't know how to solve that.
One of this days i would like to get the phone service from Atlantic but right now I don't feel comfortable with the error messages showing up in the modem.

the only way is for them to change the tap outside if it's like the old system i worked in. I agree with you on that not getting the phone service till you get it fixed. I have them here and have had very lil issues with any of it.

yeah most areas have 2 different a line tech and maintance.
