Thats way way excessive.

Muniwireless was suppose to bring costs down because it doesn't use fiber. At those distances wouldn't a total wireless system like wimax make more sense ?

I sense somebody is price inflating.

Everything in Los Angeles is overpriced...
First you have to have the $$$ lawyers
Then you have your 'preferred' contractor which charges 5x more than it should be.

Philadelphia is the same way. We've been promised citywide wifi for 2 years and we got nothing.

Meanwhile, Philly wastes money on wifi consultants and the murder rate soars because we don't have enough cops on the street.
