My point is that while we're pissing around with irrelevant nonsense (and that goes for both sides of the aisle) other, smaller countries seem to be able to keep their eye on the ball.
And, richardpor  , you say "could have been better spent" but give nothing to back it up. Google, Yahoo, et. al. are just the survivors of an absurd bit of stock speculation, and neither of them (and some others for that matter) would be worth spit if it weren't for the proliferation of broadband in the US in the 10 years following 1995.
