Have the 4200 do the PPPoE authentication
Set the router to DHCP
That's actually very bad advice. The end result is double NAT and makes port forwarding impossible. Fine for browsing the net, but for anything that requires a mapped port its a nightmare.

Set the ethernet card the default gateway to 192.168.1.1 set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 set the ip address to 192.168.1.100 or whatever you use for the last 3 digits Use the preferred dns server of 192.168.1.1 and set the dns numbers in the router. Open dns numbers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
