| Being at the end of the line means horrible speeds
I moved about 1 mile from one house to another. Interestingly enough, Verizon DSL, which worked great at my initial location, was not even available few blocks down the street.
After escalating this issue to the presidential complaint, they sent a crew of people to connect me to the back-alley cable, which apparently was a few yards closer than the main street line. I was told that my problem is - I'm too far from CO. Connection speed never went above 500Kbs on a good day. Forget about the upload speed, that was always in the 100s.
Not happy. Going to try Earthlink and hope that they won't use Verizon as their local partner phone company. |
